Hankyu's renowned overseas event 'Hawaii Fair 2026,' delivering the latest information and local lifestyle charm of Hawaii, features a special collaboration. In line with the theme of enjoying and playing with tradition, the kimono and yukata brand "EMON" has teamed up with Naoami Iida, founder of Naomi Quilt and a Hawaiian quilt artist, to launch a unique Hawaiian-inspired yukata collection.

The highlight is a yukata adorned with traditional Hawaiian quilts, featuring motifs inspired by Hawaii's nature, flora, and marine life.

Plumeria, known as Puamelia in Hawaiian, symbolizes wishing happiness for a loved one. As one of Hawaii's most iconic flowers blooming in tropical warmth, it carries the flower meanings "sunlight" and "passion." This elegant design beautifully renders the sweet-scented plumeria in delicate gradations.

In Hawaiian, sea turtles are called "Honu," revered in Hawaii as guardians of the sea. This design features Honu in traditional tribal patterns.

Both "Plumeria" and "Honu" feature patterns dyed at Kyoto-based Okajima Shuzen, using combed cotton fabric.

[Naoami Iida] Founder and instructor of Hawaiian Quilt Studio "NAOMI QUILT," and a recognized Hawaiian quilt artist. Since 2011, she has led her own Hawaiian quilt studio, teaching numerous students. She exhibits annually at the largest quilt show on the U.S. West Coast and has won multiple awards in quilt competitions both domestically and internationally.

At the 11th-floor kimono section of Hankyu Umeda Main Store, "Hankyu's Yukata Style 2026: YUKATA JOURNEY" is currently underway.
