From Wednesday, June 24 to Monday, June 29, 2026, Hankyu Umeda Main Store will host its first-ever event, the "Hankyu GREEN EXPO Hankyu Plant Expo," at the 9th Floor Shukusai Hiroba and the 8th Floor Community Park, allowing visitors to experience the profound charm of plants with all five senses. A total of 10 shops, including 7 making their first appearance, will gather, featuring tropical plants that coexist with ants and workshops from "Sakuya Konohana Kan," one of Japan's largest greenhouses. Additionally, the event will offer six days immersed in plants, including a special talk show by tropical plant world icons Kaito Hase of "Uringeien" and tropical plant cultivator Takumi Sugiyama.

"Ito Ari Shokubutsu Nouen" Produces unique tropical epiphytic plants, including ant plants.

[First Appearance] "Uringeien" A specialty store for small, charming plants that grow naturally on the floor of tropical rainforests.

"ADA LAB" Experience a new form of indoor greenery, the "Nature Aquarium & Paludarium," where plants are grown in glass cases with LED lighting.

"Komorebi Plants" A farm overlooking Lake Biwa that runs its agriculture with gratitude for nature's blessings and respect for its cycles.

[First Appearance] "Shogyokuen" Specializes in the production and breeding of "Lobivia" and "Echinopsis" types among flowering cacti. Offers a wide lineup from original hybrids to overseas varieties.

[First Appearance] "Hiro's pitcher plants" Located at an altitude of 900m on the southern slopes of Mt. Yatsugatake in Yamanashi Prefecture. Utilizes the climate to cultivate and breed mainly highland Nepenthes (pitcher plants).

[First Appearance] "Wakayama Orchid" A specialty store with 50 years of history, having traveled the world's natural habitats and possessing thorough knowledge of orchid ecology.

[First Appearance] "Sakuya Konohana Kan" A botanical garden built as Osaka City's main pavilion for the 1990 International Garden and Greenery Exposition in Tsurumi Ryokuchi, Osaka. Cultivates and displays a wide range of plants from tropical to polar regions.

Inviting Kaito Hase of "Uringeien," a plant explorer who travels the world's tropical rainforests, and Takumi Sugiyama, a tropical plant cultivator well-known from NHK's "Shumi no Engei," the two titans of the tropical plant world will engage in a passionate and deep discussion on the theme "Why do people immerse themselves in plants?"
