Hankyu Umeda Main Store is pleased to announce the event "Hanameku: Deliveries from India," showcasing the charm of India's rich traditional techniques and handicrafts, to be held from Wednesday, April 22 to Monday, April 27, 2026. This event welcomes Ayaka Date, representative of "Itobanashi," a shop dedicated to embroidery and living, as its curator. Through four themes – "Dyeing," "Printing," "Stitching," and "Shaping" – it will unravel the Indian handicrafts that bring comfort and richness to people's lives, which cannot be measured by efficiency alone. This six-day event offers visitors the opportunity to experience the precious local cultures and artisan skills that are rapidly disappearing amidst economic development, through product exhibitions, sales, and hands-on workshops.
9th Floor Art Stage [Exhibition & Sale]
At the Art Stage, the main venue, items imbued with four types of handicrafts born from the diverse climates of various regions of India will be exhibited and sold.
