WRC Japan: Hankook Tire Powers 'FORUM8 Rally Japan 2026'

Hankook Tire continues its role as the sole tire supplier for the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) in 2026. The company will support the world's top rally competition at the 7th round, 'FORUM8 Rally Japan 2026,' held in Aichi and Gifu prefectures from May 28 to 31, 2026. Rally Japan is a highly anticipated event for motorsport fans worldwide, with particular interest this year in the performance of Japanese driver Takamoto Katsuta on his home soil. The event, centered in Toyota City, Aichi, consists of 20 special stages (SS) covering a total distance of 302.82 km on tarmac roads. The mountainous terrain, characterized by narrow roads and continuous corners, demands high concentration and precise vehicle control. Hankook Tire will supply 'Ventus Z215' for dry conditions and 'Ventus Z210' for wet conditions. These tires are designed to maintain grip in harsh environments. Takamoto Katsuta, of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team, who won his first WRC victory at the Safari Rally Kenya this season, is expected to perform well. Hankook Tire aims to strengthen its presence as a premium brand in the Japanese market by leveraging its motorsport-proven technology.
