We are pleased to announce the results of the third day of the 21st Spring National Junior High School Handball Championship, which opened on Thursday, March 26, 2026, in Himi City, Toyama Prefecture.
The third day of the tournament featured the third round (8 matches each for boys and girls) and the quarterfinals (4 matches each for boys and girls).
The matches were intense, as teams combined the fruits of their daily hard work with the confidence gained from winning through the fierce battles on this grand stage.
In the boys' division, HC Kyoto (Kyoto)—who defeated the three-time defending champion Saijo Junior High School (Toyama)—along with Aira Sports Club (Kagoshima), Ryukyu Corazon U-15 (Okinawa), and GHR (Gunma) advanced to the semifinals. In the girls' division, Kakujo Junior High School (Kumamoto), aiming for their second consecutive title, along with Kawasaki Ikuta Handball (Kanagawa), HC Kyoto, and HC Haruyoshi Jr. (Fukuoka) secured their spots in the semifinals.
Tomorrow, Sunday the 29th, will be the final day of the tournament, featuring the semifinals and finals. Please stay tuned for the intense battle for the championship.
