Hakutsuru Sake Brewing Co., Ltd. has renewed its certification under the "Hyogo-Kobe Women's Empowerment Promotion Company (Mimosa Company)" (※1) certification system, jointly established by Hyogo Prefecture and Kobe City. Our company first obtained this certification in March 2023, and this time, we were re-certified after achieving 19 out of the 20 certification criteria set by Hyogo Prefecture and Kobe City.
Our male parental leave uptake rate increased from 37.5% at the time of the initial certification in 2023 to 50.0%, surpassing the manufacturing industry average (※2) of 30.1%. Furthermore, the ratio of female managers (section chief level and above) rose from 9.3% at the initial certification in 2023 to 12.4%, also exceeding the manufacturing industry average of 8.3%. While sake brewing sites are generally considered to be male-dominated, our "Honsha No. 3 Brewery," which brews sake year-round, has promoted the creation of a female-friendly environment, with 10 women, accounting for approximately 30% of its employees, actively working there.
Moving forward, we will further strengthen our efforts to promote women's empowerment and create a comfortable working environment to achieve newly set goals.

<Our Main Initiatives for Women's Empowerment>
Our company has established an environment that supports the balance between work and childcare/nursing care, including childcare/nursing care leave, reduced working hours for childcare/nursing care (childcare reduced working hours available until the end of the 3rd grade of elementary school), area-limited work, telework, and hourly paid leave.
Particularly for childcare leave, we are working to promote its uptake by individually explaining the system to eligible employees, regardless of gender, to ensure they can take leave with peace of mind.
Additionally, in November 2025, we will introduce a new Life Support Leave system. This is an unpaid special leave system that allows employees to take up to 10 days per year, in full-day, half-day, or hourly increments, to support work-life balance. It covers a wide range of personal circumstances such as personal or family medical care, childcare, nursing care, infertility treatment, and volunteer activities. Detailed disclosure of reasons for leave is not required, ensuring privacy.
