Automated Forklift "AutoFork Lite" Installed at Logisnext Japan's Demo Centers (Kyoto, Kasukabe)

Hakuo Robotics Inc. (Representative Director: Tomohiro Suzuki, Headquarters: Tokyo, hereinafter "Hakuo Robotics") has delivered one unit each of the automated forklift "AutoFork Lite," provided in collaboration with Logisnext Japan Corporation (President and Representative Director: Toshiya Onuma, Headquarters: Nagaokakyo City, Kyoto Prefecture, hereinafter "Logisnext Japan"), to Logisnext Japan's "Automation Demo Center" (Nagaokakyo City, Kyoto Prefecture) and "Automation Demo Center Tokyo" (Kasukabe City, Saitama Prefecture) as permanent exhibition machines. This enables permanent exhibitions and on-site demonstrations of the automated forklift.

This initiative responds to customer requests to "see the actual machine," allowing customers to check demonstrations of AutoFork Lite at both demo centers, as well as offering on-site demonstrations at customer locations.

Hakuo Robotics and Logisnext Japan will strengthen the provision of hands-on experience opportunities with actual machines to more concretely support the consideration of automated transport implementation.

Background

In logistics and manufacturing sites, the need for automation of transport operations is increasing due to the deepening severity of labor shortages. On the other hand, customers considering the introduction of automated forklifts have expressed desires such as "I want to confirm if it can actually be operated at my site" and "I want to see how it moves." In particular, there is a strong need to confirm with the actual machine in advance, as running environments and transport conditions, which determine applicability, vary depending on the customer's site.

Outline of this initiative

At Logisnext Japan's demo centers, you can check the transport operation and operability of the automated forklift "AutoFork Lite" in a permanent environment. We provide an environment where you can specifically understand the actual operation image, which was previously difficult to grasp from catalogs and videos.

Furthermore, Logisnext Japan will utilize this machine to provide on-site demonstrations, bringing the actual machine to customer logistics bases and factories. This allows customers to verify the applicability and effects of automated transport in advance based on the layout and operational conditions of their actual site of use.

Hakuo Robotics and Logisnext Japan will provide an "environment where the actual machine can be checked" and "opportunities to try it on-site" to present concrete operational images to customers considering the introduction of automated forklifts, and to popularize the automation of transport operations in logistics and manufacturing sites as a more realistic option. This is expected to reduce the hurdle for pre-introduction verification and accelerate decision-making.

About the Automation Demo Center

Logisnext Japan Corporation operates "Automation Demo Centers" in Kasukabe City, Saitama Prefecture, and Kyoto Prefecture, with the aim of verifying and proposing automation and labor-saving solutions.

At these centers, environments are maintained where automation solutions combining forklifts, unmanned transport vehicles (AGF/AGV), and various logistics equipment can be seen in actual operation, allowing customers to specifically verify the image of automated transport processes in a form similar to their own operations.
