TV Anime "Iwamoto-senpai no Susume" Broadcast Support Visual, Second PV, Additional Characters & Cast, and July Broadcast Confirmed!

Hiroshi Shiibashi's popular manga "Iwamoto-senpai no Susume," currently serialized in "Ultra Jump," is set to be adapted into a TV anime!

At the "Iwamoto-senpai no Susume" Anime Adaptation Decision Commemorative Stage held at the Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures booth during AnimeJapan 2026 on March 28th and 29th at Tokyo Big Sight, new information was unveiled!

The stage featured voice actors Taito Ban, Yuki Sakakibara, and Kento Ito, where the broadcast support visual, second PV, additional characters & cast, and the July broadcast decision were announced.

The series was first published as a one-shot on "Shonen Jump+" on March 30, 2020, and began serialization in "Ultra Jump" in March 2021.

The story is set in Japan in the 1910s. Kodo Iwamoto, a student at the Imperial Army's Suihou Middle School, is tasked by military orders to investigate supernatural phenomena occurring across the country and recommend individuals with special abilities to the academy for military use. The story depicts the human drama of Iwamoto and the ability users he encounters amidst various supernatural occurrences and individuals with diverse backgrounds, as he strives to save them. It is a romantic mystery.

Broadcast Support Visual Unveiled

To commemorate the decision for a July 2026 broadcast, a special visual has been released. It features Iwamoto, Haramachi, and Amaha smiling towards the viewer.

The 1910s era has a pleasantly hazy image, and I feel it's a time setting that can incorporate the many mysterious incidents depicted in the work, the aestheticism of being a student at an army middle school, and the depth to embrace the differences in power balance with foreign countries. With the appearance of various unique ability users, the story offers a rich variety of plotlines. Kodo Iwamoto's stoicism is also charming, and there are many highlights, so please enjoy the anime version as well.

This work features characters, each with their own beautiful thorns in diverse forms.

Among them, he is a man with particularly rough, violent, and eccentric thorns.

In other words, there's an aspect that only he can bring out.

I'm having an incredibly fun time playing such a chaotic person.

I am Takuma Nagatsuka, and I will be playing the role of Aonuma Seima. "Iwamoto-senpai no Susume" features many beautiful boys and girls, and Seima is a boy who, even among them, is so "beautiful" that he catches the eye. His ephemeral nature, like cherry blossoms, and the feelings he has kept hidden within. I feel that his core lies in these aspects, so I have cherished and performed them with particular focus. The beautiful world filled with Taisho Roman aesthetics drawn by Shiibashi-sensei. I am also looking forward to the broadcast. Well then, see you at Suihou Middle School!

Second PV Released, Broadcast Scheduled for July 2026!

In the 1910s... an institution was established by the Imperial Japanese Army to collect and research supernatural phenomena—the Imperial Army Suihou Middle School. Iwamoto believes that the supernatural phenomena occurring in various regions are caused by individuals with special abilities, and he confronts these ability users, sometimes engaging in battles, with the conviction that "If they know how to use their powers correctly, they can surely live for the benefit of others."

What kind of supernatural phenomena will they encounter, and why do they occur? Please look forward to further updates!

The PV also allows viewers to see and hear the newly announced cast members, and it concludes by revealing that the broadcast will begin in July 2026.
