Hakuhodo Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kenji Nagura; hereafter 'Hakuhodo'), Hakuhodo DY ONE Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Hiroaki Kitazume; hereafter 'Hakuhodo DY ONE'), and SO Technologies Inc., a consolidated subsidiary of SoldOut Inc. (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President: Satoshi Kojima; hereafter 'SOT'), announce the start of external provision of the advertising media information platform 'ADBUY' to agencies outside the Hakuhodo DY Group. This initiative aims to support the business growth of mid-tier, small, and medium-sized advertising companies.
Recently, there has been a growing need among mid-tier and small-to-medium advertising agencies for integrated planning proposals, including digital and mass advertising, for their clients. However, due to severe labor shortages and a lack of specialized knowledge regarding mass advertising, resources available for new proposals are limited, resulting in the challenge of missing opportunities for sales expansion.
To solve these challenges, the three companies—Hakuhodo, Hakuhodo DY ONE, and SOT—are launching the external provision of 'ADBUY,' which had previously been utilized solely within the group, to ad agencies outside the Hakuhodo DY Group. Hakuhodo will be in charge of operating 'ADBUY,' and sales to agencies will be conducted through the 'S-ONE Project*,' an initiative jointly promoted by Hakuhodo DY ONE and SOT to support the business growth of mid-tier, small, and medium ad agencies.
'ADBUY' is a WEB platform that aggregates available spaces, case studies, and knowledge information for all types of advertising media, allowing anyone to easily collect media information and speedily perform proposal work. Until now, it has been used as the advertising media business foundation within the Hakuhodo DY Group, achieving results such as streamlining media operations within the group.
By providing this platform externally, we will solve the issues faced by the sales departments of mid-tier, small, and medium-sized advertising agencies and strongly support their business growth.
Three Features of 'ADBUY'
'ADBUY' is a WEB platform that covers information on all kinds of advertising media, including television, digital, radio, newspapers, magazines, and outdoor advertising. The features are as follows:
- Directly connected to media companies to cover the latest information
It is linked to 'AVMS (ADBUY Vehicle Management System),' a system that allows media companies to register and update their advertising media information themselves. Ad agencies can always plan based on the latest information without having to contact the media companies.
- Enables anyone to immediately make integrated mass ad proposals
Even staff with little specialized knowledge can automatically generate planning sheets and proposal materials with a single click just by inputting conditions and searching on the system. It contributes to sales expansion through speedy integrated proposals.
- Streamlines media transactions through DX
Processes such as information gathering and order requests, which previously relied on phone calls, faxes, and emails, can now be completed digitally. This drastically reduces the confirmation work and data entry tasks for both media companies and ad agencies, achieving overwhelming operational efficiency.
