Many people struggle every year with what to give for Father’s Day. In addition to classic gifts such as gourmet foods, alcohol, and fashion accessories, practical gifts that are useful in everyday life have attracted increasing attention in recent years. For people who use a car regularly, car accessories and gadgets such as car wash supplies, interior cleaning tools, smartphone holders, and in-car chargers can make daily driving and outings more comfortable. Union Eternity therefore surveyed 200 people who own or use cars, asking whether they would be happy to receive practical car accessories or gadgets as gifts for Father’s Day or Mother’s Day. Survey result 1: 68.5% said they would be happy to receive practical car accessories or gadgets. When asked whether they would be happy to receive practical car accessories or gadgets as Father’s Day or Mother’s Day gifts, the most common response was “somewhat happy,” with 63 responses, or 48.5%. This was followed by “neither,” with 31 responses, or 23.8%, and “very happy,” with 26 responses, or 20.0%. Combined, “very happy” and “somewhat happy” accounted for 89 responses, or 68.5%. Negative responses, including “not very happy” and “not happy at all,” totaled only 10 responses, or 7.7%. These results suggest that car accessories and gadgets have a certain level of demand as Father’s Day gifts, especially if they are practical items that are easy to use in daily life. Survey result 2: By age group, people in their 30s and 40s, as well as those aged 60 and above, were the main groups, showing a strong response to practical gifts. By age, the largest number of responses came from people aged 40 to 49, with 47 responses, followed by those aged 30 to 39, with 37 responses. Combining “very happy” and “somewhat happy,” 26 people aged 30 to 39, or 70.3%, and 33 people aged 40 to 49, or 70.2%, responded positively. Looking only at percentages, respondents aged 60 and above had the highest positive response rate at 90.0%. For Father’s Day car accessory gifts, people in their 30s and 40s, as well as those aged 60 and above, can be considered key target groups. Survey result 3: By occupation, company employees represented the largest group, while self-employed workers and freelancers also showed strong interest. The occupation category with the largest number of valid responses was company employees, with 90 responses. Among them, 59 people, or 65.6%, said they would be happy, making them the most important target group by volume. In terms of percentage, 22 self-employed workers and freelancers, or 75.9%, said they would be happy. Company employees use cars in a wide range of situations, including daily commuting and weekend drives, suggesting demand for practical car accessories and gadgets. Self-employed workers and freelancers also responded strongly, indicating that items that improve in-car comfort or solve everyday inconveniences may be well received as gifts by people who often travel by car or use their car as a work or mobility space. For Father’s Day gifts, the key is not simply targeting car enthusiasts, but emphasizing everyday practicality. In this survey, after excluding part-time workers and full-time homemakers from the tabulation, 68.5% of respondents said they would be happy to receive practical car accessories or gadgets. At the same time, 31 respondents, or 23.8%, answered “neither.” For this group, it is important not only to promote the idea of giving car accessories, but also to communicate the thought behind the gift and the specific situations in which the item would be useful. When choosing car accessories as Father’s Day gifts, positioning them as practical gifts that solve inconveniences for people who use cars daily, rather than as gifts only for car enthusiasts, may make them more acceptable to a broader audience. Survey overview: The survey was titled “Survey on Car Wash Frequency and In-Car Environment.” It targeted 200 men and women in their 20s to 60s who own or use cars. The survey was conducted online via CrowdWorks from April 30 to May 1, 2026. Mobiful EC, a car accessory shop operated by Union Eternity, is also selling gift products.
