hacomono Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kenichi Hasuda) announces its third consecutive selection in Ehime Prefecture’s 'Triangle Ehime 2.0 (Digital Implementation成果 Expansion Project)'.
Having previously demonstrated an unmanned minpaku (vacant house utilization) model for foreign pilgrims, this year the company will expand its high-occupancy, profitable operational model to various regions across Ehime Prefecture. It will also advance the provision and verification of unmanned minpaku services targeting diverse tourism demands beyond pilgrims, including golf and cycling.
Additionally, hacomono will implement its self-check-in functionality, developed to enhance traveler convenience and reduce operator workload, supporting wider adoption and operational efficiency of unmanned minpaku. Furthermore, the company will newly establish an 'Operation Support Portal' for local minpaku hosts, providing practical know-how on minpaku operations and web marketing to help build inbound reception infrastructure and create successful case studies in Ehime Prefecture.
Third-Year Expansion (Fiscal Year 2026)
Site Concept of the 'Operation Support Portal' for Ehime Hosts
1. Expansion of the Unmanned Minpaku Model Across the Prefecture and Diversification of Tourism Content
The unmanned minpaku (vacant house utilization) model, previously developed centered on Matsuyama City, will be expanded to various locations across Ehime Prefecture. The target audience will no longer be limited to foreign pilgrims but will include diverse tourism content such as golf, cycling, and local experiences, aiming to capture new inbound demand and improve reception infrastructure.
2. Implementation and Promotion of the Self-Check-In System
To enable smoother access to accommodations for travelers, hacomono will advance the implementation of its self-check-in functionality designed for unmanned minpaku. By providing essential functions for guest information management and legal compliance in a one-stop solution, the company aims to reduce operational burdens and support labor-saving operations, promoting further adoption of unmanned minpaku.
3. Development of the 'Operation Support Portal' for Ehime Prefecture Hosts
A new 'Operation Support Portal' will be established to provide local minpaku hosts with information on operational know-how and web marketing. By sharing insights and success stories accumulated through previous demonstrations, the portal will support hosts in overcoming challenges during minpaku startup and improving operations, aiming to enhance overall reception quality across the prefecture.
4. Targeting Support for 40 Self-Check-In Accommodations Cumulatively
While supporting hosts with property selection and administrative procedures—common pain points during minpaku startup—the company aims to equip a cumulative total of 40 rooms with self-check-in functionality this fiscal year. Looking ahead, it plans to scale up to 80 properties across the prefecture, working toward the dual goals of vacant house utilization and inbound tourism expansion.
hacomono has leveraged its accumulated know-how and digital technologies from prior demonstrations to simultaneously advance vacant house utilization and inbound reception infrastructure. Moving forward, through expansion across Ehime Prefecture, the company will promote the development of sustainable, region-specific unmanned minpaku models tailored to local tourism resources and characteristics, while strengthening collaboration with tourism operators, minpaku hosts, and local governments.
Additionally, by unlocking the value of dormant vacant houses and tourism resources in local communities, hacomono will continue promoting the development of safe and accessible reception environments, contributing to expanded inbound tourism and regional economic revitalization in Ehime Prefecture.
