The Crispy Sandwich, which was born in Japan in 2001, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. To commemorate its 25th anniversary, the Crispy Sandwich "The Green Tea" will join the lineup as the second core product* to be sold throughout the year.

For this product, Haagen-Dazs selected the popular "matcha flavor" based on the elements of "fun to choose" and "classic deliciousness," and combined it with white chocolate, which pairs well with matcha. We deliver a "three-in-one" deliciousness with a crispy, crunchy, and rich texture, where the ice cream, coating, and wafers each enhance one another.

Haagen-Dazs continues to thoroughly pursue quality in all processes, from the selection of raw materials to the manufacturing process, in order to create delicious ice cream.

Matcha ice cream, generously made with high-quality matcha, is combined with a gently sweet white chocolate coating and sandwiched between fragrant matcha wafers. You can also enjoy its gorgeous and lovely appearance, with a striking contrast of green and white.

The Crispy Sandwich is a new category of product developed in Japan in 2001, featuring smooth ice cream wrapped in a coating and sandwiched between crispy wafers. This year marks its 25th anniversary, with cumulative sales reaching approximately 700 million units*1, and the number of flavors released, including "The Green Tea," now totaling 80*2. It has been enjoyed by many customers since its launch.

At that time, cup ice cream, eaten with a spoon at home, was the mainstream for Haagen-Dazs. Against this backdrop, the idea for the Crispy Sandwich was born from the "WOW! Project," launched with the desire to "create new and surprising products for customers." It was developed with inspiration from Mexican "tacos," thinking "it would be fun to have an ice cream that can be easily enjoyed with a crispy texture in one hand."
