The National Federation of Private Nursery Schools (Secretariat: Taito-ku, Tokyo, Chairman: Katsutoshi Kawashita, hereinafter 'National Federation of Private Nursery Schools') and H Technologies Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director & CEO: Koki Ikeda, hereinafter 'H Technologies') have signed a partnership agreement aimed at promoting the use of generative AI in the childcare industry.

This agreement materializes the scope of collaboration based on the basic agreement signed in October 2025. By supporting the widespread adoption and utilization of the childcare AI 'hinary', the initiative aims to achieve labor savings and advanced operations in childcare settings, thereby creating more time to interact directly with children and improving the overall quality of childcare across the industry.

## Background
In the childcare industry, chronic labor shortages and increasing workloads have become major challenges. As administrative tasks such as paperwork, planning, and parent communications increase, childcare workers are consistently unable to secure sufficient time to interact with the children. Furthermore, the specialized areas required of childcare workers, such as developmental support and safety management, are expanding, creating a need for new initiatives to continuously support the frontlines.

Generative AI solutions hold great potential to address these issues by saving labor and improving the quality of care. The Children and Families Agency also conducted demonstration experiments using generative AI mainly in the child and child-rearing fields in FY2024, demonstrating the usefulness of utilizing generative AI in childcare facilities.

## What is the Childcare AI 'hinary'?
The childcare AI 'hinary' is a generative AI service specialized for childcare. Based on a general-purpose generative AI, it is optimized across three layers: the childcare industry, the childcare facility, and the childcare worker, enabling responses that are highly tailored to actual care settings. 'hinary' has passed the childcare worker exam (written) covering the period from FY2021 (first half) to FY2025 (first half), and comprehensively supports the daily tasks of childcare workers. It is a generative AI service that can be utilized not only for childcare-related tasks but by all staff involved in facility operations, including board chairmen, principals and head teachers directing the frontlines, as well as those handling school lunches, nutrition, and administration.

Officially released in August 2025, it is increasingly being adopted nationwide across various childcare facilities, such as kindergartens, nursery schools, certified center-based childcares, and after-school care programs.

### Childcare AI Chat
This is a generative AI chat feature where users can freely ask questions and consult on childcare matters at any time. Based on a generative AI specialized for childcare, it further learns the philosophies and rules of the specific facility, enabling responses aligned with the school's policies. It supports childcare workers in all aspects of their duties, including brainstorming ideas for play and activities, drafting documents, generating images and illustrations for childcare tasks, and consulting on menus.
