The "CRAFTMAN, SHIPS" 50th Anniversary Campaign for SHIPS Inc., planned and produced by the project team "CREATIVE SESSION," which fuses the expertise of Hakuhodo Gravity (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Yasuyuki Kurohara) and the technology of Hakuhodo C's (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Motoya Sunouchi), has won a "GOLD" award in the FILM CRAFT category and a "SILVER" award in the PRINT & OUTDOOR CRAFT category at "ADFEST 2026" held in Pattaya, Thailand. This remarkable achievement follows their Grand Prix win at "Spikes Asia 2026," marking consecutive wins at two major Asian advertising festivals.

ADFEST, established in 1998, is a leading international creative festival representing the Asia-Pacific region. It is known as a globally authoritative award that honors outstanding creativity in a wide range of fields, including advertising, marketing, digital, and production. This year's theme was "Human+," questioning how human creativity can generate new value in an era of advancing technology like AI. In response, this campaign, under the slogan "The Best Ordinary," encapsulated SHIPS' unwavering 50-year stance with the statement "Proceeding While Still Green." It completely eliminated digital processing, using canvas fabric, also used for "ship sails," and the brand's symbolic blue thread for materials. Through "embroidery," the origin of clothing creation, it was visualized with overwhelming craftsmanship. In an era where AI can generate videos in minutes, this campaign took 600 hours, using 42.5 km of thread and hundreds of "embroidery frames (stills)" to create an animation, expressing the passion of "loving clothes immensely" inherent in the brand, through the hands of the artisans who make the clothes.
