From elementary to high school, children go through puberty, a period marked by various physical changes. Accompanying these changes, "choosing underwear" is a common source of anxiety for many parents and children themselves. In particular, many voices express uncertainty over questions like "When should they start wearing a bra?" and "What kind of innerwear should we choose according to their growth?"
A survey conducted on Gunze's official X (formerly Twitter) revealed that 82% answered they "have experienced anxiety" regarding their child's underwear, highlighting the reality that many families are bewildered by the physical changes of puberty and the selection of underwear. Therefore, we will introduce key points for choosing innerwear that is sensitive to growing children, as well as recommended underwear for different stages of development.
### Survey on Children's Innerwear Utilizing Gunze's official X, we conducted a questionnaire survey regarding junior innerwear. Among those "currently" raising adolescent children, 82% answered that they are "struggling" with innerwear selection, and over 80% have "felt unsure" about the timing to switch sizes or styles as their child grows, clarifying the difficulty of making these choices. While "upper elementary school" was the most common timing for switching at 57%, the results also showed that half of the respondents feel resistance to talking about innerwear with their children.
