Nagase Chemtex and NARO Launch Joint Research on AM Fungi for Stable Leek Production

Nagase Chemtex has partnered with NARO to develop stable production technology for domestic Japanese leeks using their proprietary AM fungi material, "amxact®." This research utilizes large-scale pure culture technology to ensure high quality and stability. By screening over 50 leek varieties for compatibility, the project aims to establish a reliable cultivation system that reduces phosphoric fertilizer use by 50% while maintaining yields and enhancing environmental stress resistance.
