KADOKAWA Corporation (headquartered in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; Director, Representative Executive Officer, President & CEO: Tsuyoshi Natsuno; hereinafter "KADOKAWA") announces the launch of a crowdfunding campaign for the new light novel 'Kidou Tensei,' set for publication by Fujimi Fantasia Bunko on August 20, 2026 (Thu), starting on July 4, 2026 (Sat).

With the support received, we will create and display a full-scale, 18-meter-tall life-size advertisement of 'Leydas,' the protagonist mecha from 'Kidou Tensei,' in real cities. We have also prepared various exclusive rewards, including crowdfunding-only original goods based on support tiers. We sincerely appreciate your support and encouragement!

The book edition of Goto Shoji's new robot light novel 'Kidou Tensei,' famed for 'Full Metal Panic!,' is confirmed for release!

We want to bring 'Leydas'—the 18-meter-tall humanoid robot protagonist—into real city streets!

This project was launched with that vision in mind.

We kindly ask for your support to make this life-size advertisement of <Leydas> a reality.

Schedule and Preparation Status ・Crowdfunding Period

From 00:00 JST on July 4, 2026 (Sat) to 23:59 JST on September 6, 2026 (Sun)

・Estimated Reward Delivery Schedule Physical Goods: Scheduled for sequential shipping from around December 2026 Digital Goods: Scheduled between September and late October 2026

The life-size advertisement is planned to be displayed in the Kanto region. Display is scheduled to begin from December 2026 onward. (Note: Exact timing may vary depending on other advertising schedules.)

Funds raised will be used not only for the costs of displaying the life-size advertisement, but also for producing and shipping project rewards, as well as various service fees. We will create exclusive goods featuring an original short story by Goto Shoji, characters illustrated by BUNBUN, and mechanical designs by Kaname Ebikawa.
