KADOKAWA Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President, CEO: Takeshi Natsuno; hereinafter KADOKAWA) will release 'Adult Miniature Interiors: Enjoy a Small World Made by Hand,' the first book by miniature artist Naoko Nagata (N original), on Friday, May 8, 2026.

A proposal to place a small 'favorite' in everyday life.

A miniature chair in front of a bookshelf. A small easel by the window. Just these small additions can transform a familiar room into 'my own special place.'

This book features over 70 miniature antique-style furniture and goods that blend into daily life. It is a single volume packed with three ways to enjoy: 'viewing,' 'making,' and 'displaying.' The author, who hosts popular courses with constant waiting lists, gently guides a wide range of people, from beginners to experienced crafters, into the small world of miniatures.

Welcome to the world of adult miniature interiors.

In the palm of your hand, on a corner of a bookshelf, in a small house.

Just by gently displaying them, your own story is born.

In this book, we have collected carefully selected items to bring you the joy of making miniatures with your own hands and displaying them as interior decor.

Make them one by one and arrange them.

May this be an opportunity to discover your own small world.

Three Features of This Book

(1) Gentle support for beginners to create at their own pace.

All 51 works with instructions include a 5-level difficulty rating (★ to ★★★★★). You can start with easy items like '★: For absolute beginners, start here' (cutting boards, books, etc.) and step up at your own pace to '★★★★★' advanced works (binoculars, retro phones, drawers, etc.) as you get used to it.

All processes are explained in detail with photos. In addition, you can directly arrange parts on life-size patterns to check them, and basic video tutorials are also included, so even those who 'found it difficult to take the first step' can challenge themselves with confidence.

(2) The fun after making. Comprehensive suggestions for how to display.

Where and how to display the completed miniatures? This book proposes three display styles: 'Board Gallery,' 'Antique Book Cabinet,' and 'Flexible House.' Furthermore, a column introduces ideas for enclosing miniatures in familiar compotes and glasses, providing hints that you'll immediately want to incorporate into your own room.

(3) Even just browsing the collection catalog is fun!

Over 70 works are featured. In the 'Miniature Interior Collection Catalog' chapter, elaborate works such as precise twin-lens reflex cameras, movable bellows lamps, chairs, ironing boards, and gardening tools are lined up. Each turn of the page brings new discoveries, making it a recommended book as a gift for those who love handicrafts and interiors.

Recommended for:

・Those who love handicrafts and crafts

・Those who are particular about interior design

・Those who want to have time to quietly immerse themselves in their busy daily lives
