Live-action Drama Adaptation of the Hugely Popular BL Comic 'Smoke Blue no Ame nochi Hare,' Which Has Sold Over 700,000 Copies and Continues to Be Reprinted, Announced & Commemorative Fair to Be Held!

KADOKAWA Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President, CEO: Takeshi Natsuno) is pleased to announce that the popular BL comic series "Smoke Blue no Ame nochi Hare" (Author: Kamome Hamada / Fleur Comics), which has surpassed a cumulative total of 700,000 copies in print, will be adapted into a live-action drama, and a commemorative fair will be held at bookstores nationwide.

This work is a highly popular and talked-about title across various media, with over 200,000 favorites on "Piccoma" and "Comic C'moa," and YouTube voice comic views exceeding 1.4 million.

Two former colleagues and rivals reunite on a rainy night, setting their story in motion. This long-awaited live-action drama adaptation will portray their awkward "rivals-to-lovers, reunion romance." Furthermore, Kohei Takeda has been cast as Sakutaro Azuma, and Kento Shibuya as Shizuka Kuji, in a double-lead role.

The momentous first episode will air on Yomiuri TV's Drama DiVE slot starting April 6, 2026 (Monday) at 1:29 AM. On-demand streaming will also be available on TVer and other platforms.

In commemoration of the live-action drama adaptation, a special fair will be held at participating bookstores nationwide starting April 6, 2026 (Monday), where customers will receive an exclusive newly drawn bonus with each comic purchase. Additionally, a bonus distribution fair exclusive to Comicomi Studio is also planned.
