GMO-PG identifies materiality (key issues) and pursues both "realization of a sustainable society" and "enhancement of corporate value." Its basic philosophy for sustainability management is to contribute to customer growth and the realization of a sustainable society while working with stakeholders to solve social issues, thereby achieving sustainable growth and enhancing corporate value.
In the environmental field, GMO-PG advocates for "contributing to the global environment through cashless payments" and is working to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. For Scope 1 and Scope 2, the company achieved virtually zero GHG emissions in the fiscal year ending September 2023 and has continued to achieve carbon neutrality since then.
Furthermore, GMO-PG is engaged in supplier engagement to reduce Scope 3 emissions.
The company is also advancing initiatives to reduce emissions by 2030 and achieve net-zero by 2050. These targets have been certified by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as a 1.5°C target for 2030 and a net-zero target for 2050 (*2).
As a result of these efforts, GMO-PG was first selected for the highest rating, the "A List," in the "Climate Change" category by CDP in December 2025 (*3). In February 2026, it also received an A rating in the CDP Supplier Engagement Rating (*4), marking its second consecutive year of selection.
