Randy's Donuts, a popular donut shop founded in Los Angeles in 1952, is celebrating its 1st anniversary of landing in Japan on May 15, 2026. To commemorate this, Grit International Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Tsuyoshi Haga), which operates Randy's Donuts in Japan, will re-release two popular Japan-exclusive limited-time products. "Strawberry Chocolate Texas," a large donut (approx. 16cm diameter) coated with strawberry chocolate and topped with freeze-dried strawberries, will be sold from April 23, 2026, to late May. "LA Blue Custard Cream Raised," a round yeast donut with blue icing depicting "LA" and filled with custard cream, will be sold from May 11 to May 17, 2026. Both products are priced at 580 yen (tax included). Randy's Donuts is famous for its iconic giant donut sign (approx. 10m diameter) on the roof of its first US store, which has appeared in popular movies and music videos. The first Japanese store, Randy's Donuts Shibuya Daikanyama, opened last May, featuring a 4m diameter donut sign and a large showcase displaying over 40 types of handmade donuts. The brand has been actively expanding, opening take-out specialty stores in Shinjuku (September last year), Tokyo Gift Palette (December last year), Yurakucho Marui (March this year), and plans to open a new store in Ikebukuro Nishiguchi on April 23, 2026.
