Green Co-op's 'Keep & Shop Maderapocket' to Open in Haki, Asakura City on June 6 (Sat)

Green Co-op Fukuoka, affiliated with the Green Co-op Community, will open 'Keep & Shop Maderapocket' on June 6 (Sat). The opening event will feature activities such as a raffle and a bottled milk tasting session. The event is open to everyone, with free admission and no reservations required.

■ What is 'Maderapocket'?
Built to inherit the history of Shiwa Elementary School, which closed the year after the heavy rains in northern Kyushu, it serves as a symbol of disaster recovery. The facility was constructed through disaster relief donations from Green Co-op members and is operated by the general incorporated association 'Asa-Kuru.'

'Madera' refers to a mountain with a long history, important to the region. It is named with the hope of nurturing a regional culture that children 100 years from now can be proud of.

■ What is Keep & Shop Maderapocket?
A community-based station that combines 'pick-up' functionality for Green Co-op catalog orders and a regular 'shop' function. Due to an agreement with Asakura City, it is open to everyone, not just members.
