The General Incorporated Association Green Co-op Community (Headquarters: Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City; Representative Director: Yoko Hidaka; hereinafter "Green Co-op"), which consists of 16 consumer cooperatives mainly in West Japan, has set a goal to achieve net-zero CO₂ emissions (※) from its business activities by 2027 and is currently implementing initiatives to achieve this. ※Scope 1: Directly emitted greenhouse gases from owned or controlled sources, and Scope 2: Indirect emissions from the generation of purchased electricity, heating, and steam, to be virtually zero.

As part of this effort, we are promoting "participatory environmental actions" by approximately 430,000 members to suppress CO₂ emissions. These initiatives are the following three:

- Utilization of reuse and recycling containers, and establishment of a system for their return and resource recovery - Reduction of CO₂ from transportation by prioritizing the use of domestic products (Food Mileage Movement) - Quantifying activity results, accumulating contributions based on reduction achievements, and utilizing them for environmental measures

By creating mechanisms that allow easy participation in daily life, we are enhancing members' motivation to participate.

January 2026 Results (Overall) As a result of these three activities, the following achievements were obtained: - Approximately 649 tons of CO₂ emissions reduced (equivalent to the amount absorbed by approximately 46,000 cedar trees in one year) - Total number of reuse containers used: approximately 779,000 bottles/packs - Total amount of recycled materials collected: approximately 235 tons - CO₂ reduced by using domestic products: approximately 559 tons - Contribution amount according to reduction: Total of approximately 33 million yen

January 2026 Reuse and Recycling Results This initiative aims to reduce waste and suppress greenhouse gas emissions by adopting bottled products such as milk bottles, molded packs made from recycled waste paper, and by returning and recycling used materials such as food trays, delivery bags, and catalogs. These quantities are monitored monthly. Through this activity, approximately 90 tons of CO₂ were reduced in January 2026.

The collection results for January 2026 are as follows: | Item | Quantity | |---|---| | Milk bottles | 340,562 bottles | | Reuse bottles | 141,988 bottles | | Egg molded packs | 297,236 packs | | Total | 779,786 bottles/packs |

**Returned items** | Item | Quantity | |---|---| | Trays | 6,857kg | | Sorting bags | 5,864kg | | Catalogs | 223,110kg | | Total | 235,831kg |

January 2026 Food Mileage Movement In procuring ingredients, Green Co-op has a policy of prioritizing domestic products with shorter transportation distances (food mileage) compared to imported products. This system aims to reduce greenhouse gases through daily shopping activities.

Through the use of such domestic products, approximately 559 tons of CO₂ were reduced in January 2026.

January 2026 Contribution Funds Funds are independently contributed monthly according to the amount of CO₂ reduced by member actions. These funds are utilized for building a decarbonized society and recycling systems, including mangrove planting, introduction of EV trucks, and reduction of dry ice. In January 2026, a total of 33,020,407 yen (approximately 33 million yen) was accumulated through these activities.
