◆ Background of this Business Expansion
Green Carbon is engaged in nature-based carbon credit creation, primarily in Southeast Asia, developing projects in a wide range of fields such as forest conservation, paddy fields, mangrove planting, cattle methane reduction, and biochar projects. We develop carbon credit creation projects suited to the characteristics of natural resources in each region, and achieve efficient and transparent project operation through appropriate site selection and monitoring using satellite data.

Particularly in Vietnam, Green Carbon is focusing on reducing methane emissions from rice cultivation using *3 AWD (Alternate Wetting and Drying) technology. Since establishing a local office in August 2024, the company has built strong partnerships nationwide, signing Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with authorities in 15 provinces, including the Vietnamese Mekong Delta region, to accelerate AWD deployment and related initiatives.

○ Transforming Agriculture's "Environmental Cost" into "Export Revenue"
While agriculture (paddy rice cultivation) is pointed out as one of the main sources of anthropogenic methane gas emissions, there is rapidly growing attention to business models that enhance market value while reducing agriculture's environmental impact. Green Carbon is leveraging its AWD technology and expertise, cultivated in its carbon credit business, to expand into the "production and export of high-quality AWD rice" business. It is achieving decarbonization, improved agricultural revenue, and profit sharing with farmers in the same field.

Based on the above background and achievements, Green Carbon has not only focused on carbon credit creation but also embarked on a demonstration of "high-quality, low-carbon rice production" harvested from AWD projects in the Mekong Delta region. Taking the opportunity to participate in the "Vietnam 1 Million Hectare Project" promoted by the Vietnamese government, in cooperation with local Vietnamese municipalities, a purchasing agreement was signed with agricultural cooperatives in December 2025, and the production and sales business of AWD rice from Vietnam has been fully launched.
