Kamogawa Seaworld (Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture; Director: Hiroshi Katsumata), a core facility of Granvista Hotels & Resorts Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & President: Yukio Arai), welcomed 20 new employees on Monday, April 6, 2026. On the same day, new employees who wished to participate joined the General Manager in an entrance ceremony unique to an aquarium, titled "Blessing from the Orcas."

This year marks the 9th time for the facility's annual entrance ceremony, renowned for being one of Japan's most "intense." To welcome the new employees, "Lara" the orca (25 years old, 5.5m long, 2.28 tons), considered a senior mentor at Kamogawa Seaworld, bestowed a celebratory "tail burst." The powerful splash released from her gigantic tail fin, almost as tall as an adult, instantly swept away the tension unique to an entrance ceremony, filling the venue with surprised cheers and bright smiles.

The new employees, having received a special welcome, are now taking their first steps as working professionals. Please watch over the growth of these new colleagues with warm support.
