Granvista Hotel & Resort Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Yukio Arai) will sequentially hold a "Sanrio Fair" featuring a wide array of Sanrio character goods at three highway restaurants it operates in Tochigi, Shizuoka, and Shiga prefectures, starting April 2, 2026 (Thursday).

Our company, which upholds the brand statement "Changing the future with local value," will implement this "Sanrio Fair" to promote the charm of various regions. We will offer over 600 items in total across the three highway restaurants, focusing on "local limited-edition goods" that fuse Sanrio characters with the charm of each region, as well as general merchandise and food products. This is a limited-time project where visitors can enjoy Sanrio character products that can only be found in each region, at accessible locations like rest stops during their travels. Furthermore, at Ashigara Highway Restaurant, special collaboration design T-shirts and tote bags featuring "Ashigarayama Kintaro," based on a local legend, will be available.

The Sano Service Area (downhill) on the Tohoku Expressway is a vast, nature-rich location ideal for stopping on the way to Nikko and Nasu. It was renewed as a Dramatic Area in 2022. It offers local specialties such as Sano ramen and cherry blossom anpan, creating a unique "drama" for travelers stopping by.

Ashigara Highway Restaurant

Located within EXPASA Ashigara (downhill) on the Tomei Expressway, one of its charms is the location offering a panoramic view of majestic Mt. Fuji and Mt. Kintoki, associated with Kintaro. EXPASA Ashigara, one of the largest on the Tomei Expressway, features an observation deck, bathing facilities, and a dog run. Within its premises, it operates a shopping plaza gathering famous products from Kanto and food corners.

This is Japan's first service area, established simultaneously with the partial opening of the Meishin Expressway. Its charm is the panoramic view of Lake Biwa.
