Grand Front Osaka TMO, a general incorporated association, will begin exhibiting three works by animator/illustrator Mai Yoneyama, including new creations, as the 11th installment of the art project "ART SCRAMBLE." This marks the first time in this project that multiple works by a single artist will be featured.

The main new outdoor sculpture, "Reflection," will be displayed on the South Building's Seseragi Terrace. This work uniquely expresses Mai Yoneyama's two-dimensional lines in a three-dimensional form, with delicate lines rising into space, revealing various expressions depending on the viewing angle. At night, the piece will be lit up, and the shadows created by the line structure will become part of the artwork, offering a different charm from the daytime. Additionally, a new illustration themed on Grand Front Osaka will appear on the grand staircase of Umekita Plaza, which serves as the main entrance. Set against the expansive space of the grand staircase, powerful lines and vibrant colors will spread across the entire staircase, expressing the work's theme of challenge and a dynamic worldview. The North Building will also feature an indoor sculpture, part of the "Reflection" series, which was unveiled at her solo exhibition "arc." Furthermore, 11 animation key visual flags, designed to complement the outdoor sculpture, will be displayed, and promotional videos will be screened on digital signage throughout the facility. Visitors can experience Mai Yoneyama's multifaceted expression, spanning flat, three-dimensional, and video art, while exploring Grand Front Osaka.

"ART SCRAMBLE" is an art project that supports artists taking flight from Grand Front Osaka to the rest of Japan and the world. With Noboru Tsubaki as project director, a total of 34 works (across 10 installments) have been exhibited within the facility since its launch in March 2021. Grand Front Osaka aims to continue being a city where new encounters, discoveries, and inspirations are born with every visit, through the works of artists from various genres.
