Golfer's Paradise: Antalya Hosts Europe's Premier Amateur Golf Tournament '144 – A Question of Honour'

For instance, Europe's largest amateur golf tournament, '144 – A Question of Honour', was first held in Belek, Turkey, in February 2025, welcoming approximately 400 players. This year, the tournament returned to Antalya with an even larger number of teams and participants.

Organized by GoTürkiye, the tournament held from Wednesday, February 4, to Sunday, February 8, 2026, gathered over 500 golfers representing 60 teams from 9 countries. Fierce competitions unfolded on some of the region's most prestigious courses, including Carya Golf Club, Olympos Golf Course, Aspendos Golf Course, Faldo Golf Course, and National Golf Course.

Born in Bad Griesbach, Germany, in 2016, '144 – A Question of Honour' has now grown into one of Europe's premier amateur golf events, drawing players from more than 20 countries. The tournament is held annually across four host countries. Utilizing a team match-play format, this tournament transcends mere competition. It beautifully merges high-level play with the essential values of golf: integrity, mutual respect, and a strong sense of community.

Often referred to as the amateur version of the Ryder Cup—one of men's professional golf's major international competitions—this three-day event involves a team competition consisting of 8 players and 1 captain, where victories are determined through strategic singles and four-ball pairings. Competing for team results, this tournament highlights the thrills of teamwork, strategy, and head-to-head match-ups, creating a unique charm with each edition.
