Golfer's Paradise Antalya to Host Europe's Premier Amateur Golf Tournament '144 – A Question of Honour'

Antalya, the tourism hub of the Turkish Mediterranean, has firmly established itself as a hub for international sporting events, in addition to its charm as a world-famous beach resort. For instance, the '144 – A Question of Honour,' Europe's largest amateur golf tournament, was first held in Belek, Turkey in February 2025, welcoming about 400 players, and has returned to Antalya this year with an even larger number of teams and participants.

Held from Wednesday, February 4, to Sunday, February 8, 2026, and organized by GoTürkiye, the tournament gathered more than 500 golfers representing 60 teams from 9 countries. Fierce competition unfolded on the region's prestigious courses, such as Carya Golf Club, Olympos Golf Course, Aspendos Golf Course, Faldo Golf Course, and National Golf Course.

Born in Bad Griesbach, Germany, in 2016, '144 – A Question of Honour' has grown into one of Europe's premier amateur golf events, now attracting players from over 20 countries, with tournaments held annually in four host nations. Employing a team-based match play format, the tournament transcends mere competition, masterfully blending high-level play with the essential golf values of integrity, mutual respect, and a strong sense of community.

Often described as the amateur version of the Ryder Cup, one of the major international professional men's golf tournaments, this three-day event is a team competition with teams of eight players and one captain, where victory is decided by strategic singles and four-ball pairings. This team-based competition highlights the thrill of teamwork, strategy, and direct confrontation, creating a unique charm for each tournament.
