GoodWe's "Suncake Series Anti-Glare Modules" Certified for Tokyo Metropolitan Government Subsidies in FY2025

GoodWe Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter "GoodWe Japan") is pleased to announce that its residential anti-glare solar modules, the "Suncake series," have been certified as an "Excellent Functionality Solar Power Generation System" for FY2025 and are now eligible for additional subsidies from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. With this certification, the Suncake 240W will be eligible for an additional subsidy of 50,000 JPY/kW as an "anti-glare type (glass product) and compact" module, and the Suncake 430W will be eligible for an additional subsidy of 20,000 JPY/kW as an "anti-glare type (glass product)" module.

For residential solar power generation, there is an increasing demand not only for power generation performance but also for ease of installation on roofs, harmony with building aesthetics, and consideration for the surrounding environment. GoodWe's Suncake series, as a solar module featuring a compact and lightweight design, anti-glare specifications, and an all-black aesthetic, will support the introduction of solar power in homes within Tokyo.

Glass Anti-Glare Specifications Considering the Surrounding Environment
The Suncake series adopts anti-glare specifications using glass products. By suppressing reflected light, which is a concern when installing solar modules, it is possible to propose installations that are considerate of residential areas and nearby buildings.

The Suncake 240W achieves a compact size of less than 1.0㎡ per panel and a lightweight design of approximately 8kg/㎡. It can easily accommodate narrow or complex roof shapes, which are difficult for conventional large modules, allowing for flexible layouts tailored to roof conditions.

All-Black Design Harmonizes with Residential Aesthetics
The Suncake series features an all-black design that blends well with the exterior of homes. This product considers not only power generation performance, which is important for introducing solar power generation systems, but also architectural design and aesthetics.

High Power Generation Performance with N-type TOPCon Cells
The Suncake series adopts N-type TOPCon cells. It aims for efficient power generation even in limited roof areas, and can be proposed as a solar power generation system for residential self-consumption, electricity bill reduction, and disaster preparedness.

Long-Term Warranty Supports Worry-Free Introduction
The Suncake series comes with a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year output warranty. It supports stable power generation performance over the long term, allowing for peace of mind after the introduction of residential solar power generation.

Smarter Energy Utilization by Combining with Battery Storage Systems in One Plan
GoodWe can also offer total proposals for residential battery storage systems in addition to solar modules.
By combining the Suncake series with GoodWe's residential hybrid power conditioner "EI series," it supports efficient utilization of generated electricity within the home, improving self-consumption rates, reducing electricity bills, and providing backup measures during power outages.
The EI series is equipped with 4-circuit MPPT, which can easily accommodate roofs with multiple orientations, supporting maximization of power generation tailored to each home's roof conditions. It also supports grid connection and independent operation, and can be proposed as a solution that supports home energy utilization from daily life to emergencies.
