The Gold Ribbon Network (Location: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Kazumi Atsuta) will participate as a special sponsor in "Gold Ribbon Walking 2026," an awareness event for pediatric cancer to be held on Saturday, April 18th, in Odaiba, Tokyo.

"Gold Ribbon Walking" is a charity event to support children with pediatric cancer and their families.
The event aims to familiarize many people with the "gold ribbon," the symbol of pediatric cancer support, and to promote understanding of the disease and expand the circle of support within society. Participants walk while wearing gold ribbon merchandise. Since its inception in Tokyo in 2007, over 63,000 people have participated to date.
A unique feature of this event is the participation of many individuals directly affected by pediatric cancer (survivors), making it a meaningful event for both the children who are survivors and their families.
This year, the 18th iteration of the event, pediatric cancer survivors and general participants from various regions will walk together in Odaiba. The venue is planned to include the following activities:
- Speeches by pediatric cancer survivors sharing their experiences and thoughts.
- A mini-live performance of the support song "WE ARE ONE" featuring a pediatric cancer survivor as the vocalist.
- "Gold Ribbon Photo Exhibition ~I live~" (Display of photos taken during hospitalization and after discharge).
- "Gold Ribbon Artwork Exhibition" (Panel display of works created by pediatric cancer survivors).
- "Lemonade Stand" (Assisted by pediatric cancer survivor children).
- Charity Bazaar.
- "Next Year Post" installation (for dropping messages to next year's participants and the future).
etc.
We look forward to receiving your participation applications.
Donations made through "Gold Ribbon Walking" will be delivered to hospitals and medical research institutions that treat pediatric cancer, as well as pediatric cancer-related organizations.

What is the Gold Ribbon?
It is the universally recognized symbol for supporting children with pediatric cancer, and it is also the name and logo of our foundation. The reason behind it is the belief that children are our "most precious treasure," just as gold is a precious metal.
What is Pediatric Cancer?
Generally, it refers to cancer (malignant tumor) that occurs in children under 15 years old. Although the number of patients is smaller compared to adult cancers, approximately 2,000 to 2,500 new cases are diagnosed annually. While the 5-year survival rate is 70-90%, it is the leading cause of death among children.
Despite being a rare cancer with many types, the low incidence of each type presents various challenges. About half of pediatric cancer survivors experience "late complications" (after-effects) due to the cancer itself or its treatment. Another issue is the "drug lag," where the development and approval of new drugs in Japan lag behind other countries. However, the reality of pediatric cancer is not as widely known as adult cancer, and support is insufficient.
