Golden Goose celebrated the opening of the Venice Biennale 2026 by unveiling an immersive art experience on May 8, 2026, at HAUS, its creative hub located in Marghera, Venice, Italy.

HAUS, a nexus where craftsmanship, culture, and art intersect, entrusted its keys this year to PLAYLAB, INC., a multifaceted creative studio based in Los Angeles. "The Forest For The Trees," an experiential installation specially created for HAUS by PLAYLAB, INC., showcases their unique activities across a wide range of fields including fashion, film, design, and large-scale installations.

Exhibition Overview:

"The Forest For The Trees" is an exhibition that explores "possibility" through a story reminiscent of a picture book. Visitors are invited into a childlike world where imagination expands infinitely. Guests gradually unravel the "bigger picture" as they navigate through an immersive environment, from giant hand-painted stage sets by Italian artisans to intricate miniature models.

PLAYLAB, INC. filled every space within HAUS with an interconnected chain of experiences, blurring the lines between audience and creator.

Piazza: The story begins with looping soundscapes and symbolic gestures.

Academy & Playground: An interactive area where guests can color miniature trees themselves and place them within a collaboratively created diorama.

Tunnel: A sensory passage leading to the climax.

Hangar: The miniature world encountered so far expands into a giant forest installation before their eyes. Movable mechanisms create continuous interaction.

Dinner with Distinguished Guests:

A fantastical candlelit dinner, produced by the 2026 Michelin-starred restaurant "Da Gorini," was held in the Hangar. Known for utilizing local ingredients, Da Gorini, in collaboration with floral designer Federica Carlini, created an interactive table setting inspired by the forest world, offering a multi-sensory dining experience.

To celebrate this memorable night, a diverse array of prominent guests from around the world gathered, including Marius Yo from Japan, Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, model Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis, Olympic skateboarders Keegan Palmer and Cory Juneau. Furthermore, leading creators and entrepreneurs from various fields, such as emerging artists Charlotte Rose and Laura Schnabel, architects, filmmakers, and art collectors, came together to share new creative currents.

HAUS was also open to the public for two days, May 9th and 10th, as part of "HAUS Week." During this period, numerous performances, workshops, and talk sessions centered on art, culture, and sports were held, involving local and international partners such as local Venezia FC, IUAV University, and the creative community The Pink Lemonade. Through these programs, HAUS's vision of fostering dialogue, creativity, and freedom of expression, and contributing to the local community, was embodied.

About HAUS:

HAUS, born during the Venice Biennale 2024, is a global cultural platform for the brand's community of "Dreamers." It is a place where creators from different fields and backgrounds gather. Rooted in Marghera, Venice, Italy, the birthplace of Golden Goose and an industrial port, this immersive "phygital" (physical and digital) space embodies the brand's DNA and core values through craft, culture, and art.

Within HAUS, symbolizing the brand's core handmade and artisan tradition, an "Academy" has been established. Here, skilled artisans train the next generation of artisans, the "Dream Makers." They are equipped with the tools and skills necessary to pursue creativity, connecting the art of craftsmanship to the future. The Academy's courses and seminars are designed for personal growth and career advancement.
