(Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture; President Soichiro Tokuyasu), will offer a unique summer-only hot spring experience called "Chilled Hot Spring" at Kotori no Yu (Matsushiro-machi, Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture), a day-trip hot spring facility it operates. The event will run for a limited period from July 3, 2026 (Fri) to July 26, 2026 (Sun).

In recent years, extremely hot days have been increasing nationwide, making heatstroke prevention and summer lifestyle choices significant social issues.

At the same time, many people feel that bathing in hot springs during summer is too burdensome, leading to decreased usage of hot spring facilities. To address this, Kotori no Yu has introduced the "Chilled Hot Spring" concept, offering a new way to enjoy hot springs comfortably even during intense summer heat.

During the event period, guests can enjoy "three distinct bathing experiences" with different water temperatures:

(1) Indoor Bath (Classic hot spring experience with water that warms the body from within)

(2) Outdoor Bath (Naturally cool outdoor bath, available only in summer, using spring water at its natural temperature)

(3) Scenic Outdoor Bath (Open-air bath with pleasant water temperature, offering relaxing views of the surrounding landscape)

Kotori no Yu reopened in November 2017 in Matsushiro-machi, Nagano City.

Located at the foot of Mokami Mountain, surrounded by tranquil nature, the facility offers panoramic views of the Zenkoji Plain. It features three types of baths: a scenic bath with stunning views, a garden outdoor bath that reflects the changing seasons, and an indoor bath—allowing guests to relax and rejuvenate both body and mind.

Inside the facility is a relaxation area stocked with approximately 10,000 books and comics, creating a comfortable space for guests of all ages.

Additionally, the attached café-restaurant offers seasonal menus and dishes made with local Shinshu ingredients, including specialty gelato.
