Umiterasu Nadachi (Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture), operated by Yume Kikaku Nadachi Co., Ltd. (part of the Gokei Group, Representative Director: Takao Hosoya), will host the '2nd Annual 100% Nadachi-grown Sweet Shrimp Festival' every Saturday and Sunday from April 4 (Sat) to May 31 (Sun), 2026. This event offers a variety of arranged menus using 100% Nadachi-grown sweet shrimp, along with participatory projects and special benefits. It is an event where you can see, taste, and enjoy the charm of seasonal sweet shrimp. The Nadachi fishing port is blessed with a rich fishing ground where cold currents from the Sea of Japan meet snowmelt from Mt. Fudo, producing high-quality sweet shrimp with firm texture and intense sweetness. Through this festival, we aim to deliver the charm of these 'jewels of the sea' and the pride of our local fishermen to many customers. Event highlights include the 'Sweet Shrimp Weight Guessing Quiz' where winners receive fresh shrimp, and a 'Three-Shrimp Tasting' set for 500 yen (540 yen including tax). Various dishes such as sushi, rice bowls, and fried shrimp will be available at the 1st-floor fresh fish market and the 2nd-floor restaurant 'Umi no Daidokoya'. *Note: Availability may change due to weather conditions.
