'Focus on what you can do in the moment, in both good times and bad': Seahorses Mikawa's Yudai Nishida encourages students during 'Dream Speech' at elementary school

On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, player #19 Yudai Nishida visited Anjo City Anjo Chubu Elementary School.

Prior to Nishida's appearance, a video of his highlight plays was shown, drawing voices of surprise from the students such as 'Amazing!' and 'He makes shots from way over there!?', bringing the venue's expectations to a climax before he even appeared. When player Nishida showed himself, he was wrapped in huge applause and cheers, and the school visit started in a vibrant atmosphere.

During the 'Dream Speech', in response to a student's question, 'What do you keep in mind on a daily basis?', player Nishida spoke, 'I am conscious of not worrying too much, whether times are good or bad. Worrying too much doesn't change the result, so it is important to focus on what you can do at that moment.' The students were seen listening intently to his words with serious expressions.

After the speech, a basketball exchange was held with free throw showdowns and a 5-on-5 game format. When Nishida effortlessly made a shot from near the half-court line, a huge cheer erupted from the venue. During the game, voices of support naturally flew around among the children, and it became a highly exciting time where the whole venue united.

After the event, many voices were heard from the students such as 'I was moved to see the greatness of a professional up close' and 'I want to go watch a game', making this school visit a precious and unforgettable experience for the children.

Moving forward, through the activities of the Seahorses Mikawa Sustainability Project 'Be With', we will continue to promote 'community building', 'human development', and 'friend making', which Seahorses Mikawa values, and advance initiatives that lead to regional revitalization.

In order to contribute to the achievement of the 'SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)', which are common global goals, we are promoting various initiatives in addition to the social contribution activities we have conducted so far.
