Notice Regarding Player Departure (#32 Avi Koki Schafer)

Thank you for your continued support of Seahorses Mikawa.

We announce that #32 Avi Koki Schafer will be departing the team after the 2025-26 season.

*He will be listed on the B.LEAGUE free agent list starting May 19, 2026, at 3:00 PM.

To the Seahorses family, thank you for these six years.

Looking back, I have so many memories and so much gratitude.

Thank you for believing in me when I had no track record, and for giving me '32', such a special number for this club. To Kimiichi-san, for continuing to start me even when things weren't going well. For letting me represent this club at the Tokyo Olympics. For the immense support during my recovery from a major injury, and for the video on my return day. I can only be grateful to this club for helping me grow not only as a player, but also as a person, even as my role changed under the Ryan regime.

I was able to see sights I will never forget, such as the scene of my return game, the home CS, and the Emperor's Cup final.

This year's team was special. I love this team, and part of me still wants to play basketball with my current teammates.

Leaving this team is sad, but at the same time, I am excited to move on to the next stage.

I look forward to hearing the best boos when I return as an opponent.
