#5 Sho Tsuboi This tournament was the last game for us 3rd-year students. In the preliminary round, we played against Koshigaya U15, whom we had lost to for two consecutive years. In the first half, we struggled against their 3-pointers and fell behind, but we desperately kept up with them and managed to force overtime. There, we won with our characteristic tenacity and advanced to the final tournament. In the game against Hokkaido U15, we were constantly troubled by their 3-pointers and drives, but we focused on preventing them from shooting and managed to win after overtime. I felt that this tournament was a great growth experience for both the team and myself. I am very happy that Seahorses Mikawa U15 achieved its best-ever result.
#7 Ryukai Sunahara First, thank you to everyone for your great support and encouragement. In this tournament, we achieved our goal and Seahorses Mikawa U15's first-ever Best 8 finish. In the preliminary round, we played against Koshigaya U15, whom we had lost to for two consecutive years. Their shots were falling, which made it tough, but we kept up and managed to win in overtime. Then, in the first final tournament match in three years, against Hokkaido U15, we faced a disadvantageous period, but everyone fought without giving up, displayed our characteristic tenacity, and managed to win. Finally, I would like to summarize this past year. This season, we had many losses at the beginning, and the Prefectural Championship ended with a disappointing 4th place. However, everyone prepared diligently for the CHAMPIONSHIP through daily practice, and I believe this tournament was the culmination of all our efforts. I believe that the 1st and 2nd-year students will continue to achieve results next season based on this experience, so please continue your strong support for Seahorses Mikawa U15.
#8 Haruto Yamazaki In this tournament, we played against Koshigaya Alphas U15 in the preliminary round, with advancement to the final tournament at stake, a team we had lost to for two consecutive years. Although we fell behind early, we desperately held on, focused on not letting the gap widen, tied the game, and won in overtime. Then, we played against Levanga Hokkaido U15, and again, we faced a situation where we were trailing, but the team united and managed to win after overtime. I think it was extremely good that we achieved the Best 8, which is Seahorses Mikawa U15's best-ever result. And based on the challenges we realized from our losses, I want to work harder to grow even more.
