(Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Daisuke Nishihara), operator of the professional esports team 'ZETA DIVISION', announces that its APEX LEGENDS division has secured a spot in the 'Esports World Cup 2026 (EWC)', to be held in Paris, France in July 2026, after achieving first place in the APAC North region with a total of 145 points and 281 kill points in the 'Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Year 6 Split 1'.

■ The Road to the EWC Main Tournament

In 'ALGS Year 6 Split 1', the top 9 teams from the APAC North region, based on their performance in the Split 1 Pro League, earn a spot in the Split 1 Playoffs held within the 'Esports World Cup 2026' in Paris, France in July 2026. This season, where points from each match directly determined qualification, made every single game critically important.

The APEX LEGENDS division faced a challenging start in the Group Stage, with results not initially meeting expectations. Although they were trailing behind the leading teams until Day 4, they regained momentum from Day 5 onwards, securing the top position three times on Day 5, Day 6, and Day 8.

Through an overwhelming comeback in the latter half of the season, they ultimately finished the season in first place in the APAC North region with 145 total points and 281 kill points, earning a spot in the Split 1 Playoffs held within the EWC.

YukaF, Satuki, Mike, and Coach Yamato will compete on the grandest stage, where top teams from various regions worldwide gather.

About 'Apex Legends Global Series Year 6 Split 1'

The 'Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS)' is the official global competitive tournament series for Apex Legends. In Year 6 Split 1, professional league teams from regions worldwide battled fiercely, with only the top teams earning a ticket to the Split 1 Playoffs, where qualification for the Esports World Cup is at stake. The APAC North region had a narrow entry of only 9 slots out of a total of 40, making each match a fierce battle for points.

About 'Esports World Cup 2026'

The 'Esports World Cup 2026', which has solidified its position as the world's largest competitive gaming festival, will commence from July 6 (Mon) to August 23 (Sun), 2026, in Paris, France.

This premier international esports event will see over 2,000 players and 200 clubs from more than 100 countries gather to compete for the ultimate title. The total prize pool has been further expanded from $70 million the previous year to $75 million (approximately 11.5 billion yen), marking the largest scale in history.

In addition to individual competitions to determine the champions of each title, the 'Club Championship', which decides the strongest club based on the performance across all titles, offers $30 million, making it more than just a gaming tournament—it's a celebration of esports.
