ZETA DIVISION Overwatch Division Places 3rd at 'Overwatch Champions Series 2026 Champions Clash'!

The Overwatch division of the professional esports team ZETA DIVISION, operated by GANYMEDE Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Daisuke Nishihara), has announced that it placed 3rd at the 'Overwatch Champions Series 2026 Champions Clash,' held in Tachikawa, Japan, from May 22 (Fri) to May 24 (Sun).

About 'OWCS 2026 Champions Clash'

'Overwatch Champions Series' began in January 2024 as a new competitive league for Overwatch. It is an international circuit for players in North America, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), and Asia. In the 2026 season, teams will compete in regional tournaments, aiming for three international offline events.

'OWCS 2026 Champions Clash' is one of these international offline events, where the top two teams from the 'OWCS ASIA,' 'OWCS CHINA,' 'OWCS NA,' and 'OWCS EMEA' regions (total 8 teams) gathered in Japan to compete for the championship. The winner is granted a spot in the 'Overwatch Champions Series 2026 Midseason Championship.'

ZETA DIVISION's New Roster Shines on Their First Global Stage

After winning the 'OWCS 2026 KOREA Stage 1' with an undefeated record of 13 matches, the team earned their spot in this tournament as an unprecedented feat. In their first-ever international tournament, the team performed boldly.

In Upper Round 1, they overwhelmed the strong team Spacestation Gaming 2-0. In the subsequent Upper Semi Finals, although they lost momentum at times against Virtus.pro, they recovered in maps 3 and 4 to secure a 3-1 victory.

In the Upper Finals, they clashed with the powerful Asian team Crazy Raccoon. After losing the early initiative, they were defeated 1-3 and moved to the Lower Finals. In the Lower Finals, they faced the Middle Eastern powerhouse Twisted Minds. They showed tenacity, winning the third map in overtime, but were unfortunately defeated 1-3.

ZETA DIVISION concluded their first international tournament with a 3rd place finish.
