To support children in difficult situations through the power of "love" and "support". We want to realize Japan's largest game and e-sports x charity event.

Certified NPO Good Neighbors Japan announced its aspiration to host Japan's largest game and e-sports charity event. The initiative aims to leverage the power of "support culture" from streaming and "oshi-katsu" (fandom activities) to aid children facing hardship both domestically and internationally.

## Changing the world with the power of support. Towards a Japan where this is commonplace.
In recent years, the culture of streaming, games, e-sports, and supporting "oshi" (favorite personalities/groups) has moved many people, becoming a significant force in creating new connections and communities. Through streaming, people connect, feelings of support spread, and someone's activities are sustained—such positive energy has gained a definite presence in society.

Meanwhile, many children worldwide are in difficult situations due to poverty, conflict, and the effects of climate change such as drought and cyclone damage. Many of these situations are *not related to the children's own efforts or choices, but are determined by their birthplace and social environment*. Currently, over 400 million children worldwide live in extreme poverty, lacking adequate food and educational opportunities. (Source: UNICEF, World Bank, 2024) Moreover, poverty is not just an issue overseas. *Domestically, the child poverty rate is 11.5%, and among single-parent households, it is 44.5%, meaning nearly half are in relative poverty.* (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, 2022 National Livelihood Survey)

Certified NPO Good Neighbors Japan has addressed these issues through food support for single-parent families in Japan ("Good Gohan"), as well as education and livelihood improvement support for children overseas, and emergency relief for refugees fleeing conflict.

The "power to support" and "joy of activities" spreading from recent streaming, games, e-sports, and "oshi-katsu". We want to connect this to the field of support.
