Gurunavi Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Akio Sugihara; hereinafter "Gurunavi") will begin offering "FO Tablet Order," a new service for its mobile ordering system "Gurunavi FineOrder" for restaurants, which enables ordering from tabletop tablets, starting Monday, May 11, 2026.
■ Background and Aim
As restaurant DX (Digital Transformation) permeates, mobile ordering is becoming the mainstream ordering style. On the other hand, there was a strong need to use tablet ordering and mobile ordering differently depending on the customer base, menu composition, and service provision methods across stores, areas, and brands within a single restaurant company. However, introducing tabletop ordering required separate master data management from mobile ordering, which posed a challenge for the operational burden on restaurant companies' information system departments.
Therefore, Gurunavi developed a new service that integrates these diverse market needs and supports ordering via tabletop tablets by utilizing a common master data with mobile ordering (patent pending).
By introducing this service, stores can flexibly switch between optimal ordering methods according to the customer base and table environment. By leveraging the advantages of both mobile ordering and tablets, it optimizes store operations and provides a more comfortable ordering experience for all customers.
■ Main Features
1. Common master data can be used with mobile ordering
No new master data creation is required. Both smartphone and tablet orders can be controlled from a single management screen, significantly reducing administrative work for stores.
2. Appropriate 8.7-inch size and smartphone-like UI
Adopts a compact device that does not feel oppressive even on small tables.
The vertical UI provides an intuitive operating experience for users accustomed to smartphones. It can also be used in combination with popular "Gurunavi FineOrder" features such as the "Number Input Order Function" and "Premium UI/UX Function."
3. Charging style that does not require electrical work and can be installed anywhere
Adopts a magnetic adsorption dedicated stand, eliminating the need for USB insertion/removal and allowing constant charging.
Cable version: For environments where constant power supply is possible.
Battery version: Can be installed even on tables without power. Flexibly responds to layout changes.

"We have previously introduced 'Gurunavi FineOrder' in many of our stores, but some customers requested 'to be able to order with a tablet.' We considered other tabletop ordering services, but the operational burden of separate menu management was a major issue. In that regard, 'FO Tablet Order' allows us to share menu information with the existing mobile ordering system, enabling smooth implementation with minimal additional work."
Gurunavi is promoting its business based on its purpose: "Connect food. Satisfy people." We will continue to evolve the hybrid world of "mobile order x tablet" realized in this project to even more restaurant companies, supporting sustainable store operations as an infrastructure.
