Year 14 of the Taisho era – Spring.
A young girl visits private detective Toudou Ryunosuke with a job request.
The request is to 'find her missing former fiancé'.
Moved by the girl's earnest feelings and anguished cries, Toudou Ryunosuke disguises his identity and visits the Western-style mansion, which is rumored to be a place where 'if you pass by the doll mansion at dusk, you'll be kidnapped and turned into a doll'...
Thinking it was just a simple missing person case, Ryunosuke visits the doll mansion as an aristocrat interested in dolls, only to find himself on the stage of a new tragedy...
