G-MODE announced that Kendama 100-Person Simulator, developed by WINGLAY, officially launched today, May 14. The game, currently available in Early Access on Steam, is a challenge simulation game in which players take control of a series of challengers and attempt to land the ball on the kendama’s large cup 100 times in a row. The full release arrives on May 14, known as Kendama Day, and adds a new RTA Mode that unlocks after achieving 100 consecutive successful attempts, offering an even more tense and heated challenge. Kendama 100-Person Simulator is simple: just land the ball on the large cup. Yet that simplicity is exactly what makes the pressure so intense. The game recreates the famous consecutive challenge often seen on Japanese year-end television programs, presenting an unprecedented extreme-pressure kendama simulation experience. Players control the kendama by clicking and dragging the handle, while right-clicking can reduce the ball’s sway. The objective is to succeed with 100 people in a row; if even one person fails, it is an immediate game over. Players must also watch the tension meter in the bottom-right corner of the screen. When the ball bounces on the cup or moves unstably, tension rises. If it exceeds a certain level, effects such as a narrowing field of view and violent screen shaking will directly interfere with player control. Various pressure events occur during play, testing the player’s concentration. These include spectators taking flash photos, challengers in mascot costumes that restrict visibility, and streamer challengers whose comments flood the screen. The game also features fully voiced live commentary that changes in real time according to the player’s actions, further heightening the tension. The game includes a kendama customization feature, allowing players to unlock new kendama variations by clearing specific conditions and aim to collect them all. The newly added RTA Mode unlocks after the player completes 100 consecutive successes. In this mode, players compete to complete the 100-person challenge as quickly as possible, creating a different kind of extreme pressure where every second counts. Developer WINGLAY said the theme was chosen by asking whether there was a familiar traditional toy like playing cards, which led to kendama. Since kendama is commonly associated with group record challenges, the game’s structure naturally followed. The controls remain the same throughout and are easy once the player gets the hang of them, while the pressure acts mainly as a psychological obstacle. WINGLAY described kendama as a battle against oneself and encouraged players to overcome the many pressures, clear all 100 people, and set unprecedented records in Endless Challenge and RTA Mode. Kendama 100-Person Simulator is priced at 600 yen including tax and is available on Steam. Supported languages include Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean. Ganso Otoshi Sushi Mebius, also developed by WINGLAY and published by G-MODE, is currently available on Nintendo Switch 2 and Steam. To celebrate the release, the WINGLAY Bundle, which includes two WINGLAY x G-MODE titles, has also launched on Steam. Purchases through the bundle receive a permanent 10% discount.
