Global Brain Leads Investment in Trifa, Operator of Overseas eSIM App 'Trifa'

Global Brain Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, Global Brain) announces that it has led an investment as a lead investor in Trifa Inc. (headquartered in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter, Trifa), the operator of the overseas eSIM*1 app 'Trifa', through the 'SMBC-GB Growth Fund' co-managed with SMBC Edge.

Additionally, in this funding round, further investments were made from the Global Brain No. 9 Fund (hereinafter, GB9 Fund) and AH-GB Future Creation Investment Business Limited Partnership (hereinafter, ANA Future Creation Fund).

The 'Trifa' app enables seamless internet access in over 200 countries and regions worldwide. It eliminates the need for traditional rental Wi-Fi reservations, pickups, returns, or purchasing and swapping local SIM cards—offering smooth overseas connectivity through a single app. Highly convenient compared to mobile Wi-Fi devices, the app has surpassed 2 million cumulative downloads as of April 2026. Moreover, overseas revenue now accounts for approximately 10% of total sales.

Trifa plans to use the newly raised funds to accelerate its global expansion, particularly in East Asia, develop new services in travel-related areas such as payments and transportation bookings, and strengthen its organizational structure and existing products.
