Background of the Partnership
The "PNB JCB Platinum Card" is distinguished by its Japan-focused services, offering benefits and privileges at a wide range of JCB merchants across Japan—including shopping, dining, transportation, and tourist attractions—as well as access to JCB Plaza Lounges worldwide. Through high point rewards and promotional campaigns, the card aims to boost spending by visitors to Japan and contribute to increased customer traffic and consumption at Japanese merchant establishments and tourism-related businesses.
This new card issuance was made possible by the shared objectives of PNB, which seeks to enhance customer services through partnership with the JCB brand, and JCB, which aims to expand its membership base in the rapidly growing Philippine economy. JCB will deliver its unique services and Japan's distinctive hospitality to PNB JCB Platinum Card members, further promoting inbound tourism to Japan.
