We have signed a comprehensive industry-academia collaboration agreement with Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences (Note 1) (hereinafter referred to as "Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences"), a school corporation under the Romsen Gakuen, to create social value through digital transformation (DX) and foster human resources by leveraging cutting-edge technology in the field of sports performance (Note 2). Based on this agreement, both parties will commence joint discussions on the development of top athletes in various sports, including gymnastics, utilizing skeletal recognition AI, and its application in other fields.

Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences aims to further enhance its "authentic" education, research, and social contribution as outlined in its "OUHS Vision 2031." To achieve this, it has launched the "DX/AX Promotion Project" to advance the utilization of digital technology (DX) and artificial intelligence (AI Transformation: AX). Through education, research, and social contribution, the university aims to contribute to societal change and the creation of new value centered around sports. In this initiative, our skeletal recognition AI, which accurately and instantly digitizes human movement in 3D, offered through Uvance's "AI Technologies and Solutions," has been adopted by the gymnastics club of Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences as an AI training system compliant with international judging standards.

Traditionally, the evaluation of performance and techniques in sports such as gymnastics has heavily relied on the experience and subjectivity of athletes and coaches. By utilizing skeletal recognition AI, we will digitize these evaluations. By defining the quantifiable items for each sport and quantifying athletes' movements in real-time, we will create data-driven training methods to support the improvement of competitive abilities and the development of top-level athletes. Furthermore, by utilizing this technology in lectures on sports science and biomechanics, including gymnastics, at Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences, we aim to foster human resources capable of utilizing and researching this technology.

Future Outlook Moving forward, we will jointly explore initiatives with Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences to advance not only real sports but also virtual sports (Note 3). By applying skeletal recognition AI to virtual sports research, we aim to create opportunities for easy and safe sports experiences for young people and the elderly who may feel less confident about physical activity. By visualizing the effects of improved physical abilities through virtual sports using skeletal recognition AI and experiencing a sense of growth, we will encourage participants' exercise habits, leading to an expansion of the sports population and the creation of social value. Additionally, by combining Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences' community collaboration programs with our skeletal recognition AI and the diverse cutting-edge AI technologies held by Uvance Partners, we will contribute to solving regional issues such as promoting the health of the elderly and fostering exercise habits in children, centered around sports. Under our "Uvance" business model, which starts with societal challenges, we will, together with Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences as a Uvance Partner, utilize data and AI to achieve human resource development and the advancement of sports, thereby promoting the improvement of people's well-being.
