The Resona Group and BrainPad have been working to enhance the Resona Group's operations based on data, promoting the use of data and AI in financial practices, including the provision of the AI software "Data Ignition (Note 1)" for operational support for regional financial institutions. By having Fujitsu, which possesses high technological capabilities and extensive knowledge of social implementation in the data and AI domain, join this collaboration, the aim is to co-create next-generation data and AI utilization models that not only create use cases in financial practices but also look towards expansion into regional and cross-industry areas.

Promoting Sustainable Growth of Regional Economies through Co-creation of Data and AI In this collaboration, the Resona Group's actual operations will serve as a field for demonstration and early adoption, creating various use cases that lead to the advancement of operational processes in financial practices such as corporate evaluation, monitoring, and sales support. Furthermore, by combining the practical knowledge and financial data cultivated through the collaboration between the Resona Group and BrainPad with Fujitsu's data & AI technology, its "Uvance" offering based on social issues, and diverse external data such as trade flows and supply chains, the aim is to transform decision-making and value creation processes in operations, thereby providing value to regional financial institutions and promoting the sustainable growth of regional economies.

Collaboration Details 1. Transformation of Financial Practices within the Resona Group through the Utilization of AI Agents The three companies will accelerate the concretization and verification of data utilization and the incorporation of AI agents into operations within the Resona Group, aiming to maximize the value provided by financial services with the following use case ideas in mind: ・Operational support leading to advanced decision-making by utilizing AI agents that autonomously handle data collection and suggestion provision to improve the quality and quantity of customer understanding, proposals, and judgments by sales representatives. ・Transformation of operational processes that excessively rely on human experience and judgment through the demonstration of AI agents that autonomously judge and act in response to collaboration with various AI agents and changes in operations.

2. Deployment of Practical Models to Regional Financial Institutions To deploy the knowledge cultivated within the Resona Group to regional financial institutions, we will develop and enhance Data Ignition, optimize operational and connection methods suitable for financial business flows, and consider new business models.

3. Contribution to Regional Economic Development through the Expansion of Financial Data By linking external data such as trade flows and supply chains with the knowledge cultivated through past initiatives, we will explore the potential of financial data utilization that leads to the creation of new value and contribute to the sustainable development of regional economies. ・Creation of new transaction opportunities and financial services based on inter-company transaction relationships and changes in the business environment. ・Pursuit of data linkage methods for expanding transaction circulation volume and revitalizing industries in regional economies. ・Consideration of the potential for collaboration with local governments, ecosystem formation, and value distribution models for the entire region.

Will play a central role by providing its financial operations as a field for demonstration and early adoption, and by verifying the effectiveness and operational suitability of data and AI utilization through insights relevant to operations and feedback from the field perspective.

・BrainPad Inc. Will be responsible for supporting the effective utilization of AI agents in the field by setting up challenges and hypotheses relevant to financial practices, and deriving insights through data science-based analysis.

・Fujitsu Limited Will integrate diverse data across domains and create new value by leveraging its data & AI technology and social implementation knowledge.
