Global Cast Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya, Aichi; Representative Director: Hideyuki Kawaguchi) will grand open the residential nursing home "Heartful Cast Kuwana" (Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture) on June 11, 2026. This facility is a nursing home where nurses are stationed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing medical care and daily living support to elderly and disabled individuals with high medical needs. The facility is a renovation and revitalization of unused wards of the former Yonaha Hospital, which has long supported regional medical care. It will be operated as a new initiative aiming to address the social issue of a shortage of facilities for those with high medical needs while simultaneously utilizing idle assets of medical institutions. In conjunction with the grand opening, an opening ceremony will be held on June 11, 2026, and a public viewing will be held from June 12 to June 15. As the population of late-stage elderly increases nationwide, securing places for recuperation for those with high medical needs has become a social issue due to shortages of nurses, caregivers, and facilities. In particular, for those requiring constant medical care such as terminal cancer, neurological diseases, and severe disabilities, there are many cases where they are forced to remain hospitalized for long periods because they cannot find a place to accept them even when they are ready for discharge. In addition, many medical institutions face the challenge of increasing unused beds and idle spaces, and new models that effectively utilize buildings and equipment while maintaining regional medical functions are required. Therefore, in this initiative, we have renovated the "unused wards" of the former Yonaha Hospital and revitalized it as a nursing home that realizes advanced medical care with nurses stationed 24/7. We have entered this field believing that the operational construction capabilities, talent recruitment capabilities, and DX promotion capabilities we have cultivated through our BPO business will be useful for medical and nursing care in the new era. At "Heartful Cast Kuwana," we aim to provide a secure recuperation environment where medical, nursing, and daily support are integrated. We also intend to use it as a demonstration site to solve challenges in the medical and nursing industry through technology, and to contribute to the development of solutions that realize the work-life balance of medical and nursing staff. Key features include a 24/7 nursing staff system, collaboration with visiting nursing stations and affiliated medical institutions, revitalization of unused wards of the former Yonaha Hospital, visualization and standardization of medical and nursing operations, promotion of DX and PoC using actual operational data, and construction of an operational system aimed at stable employment of nursing and care staff.
