Global Cast Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nakamura-ku, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Hideyuki Kawaguchi; hereinafter "the Company") hereby announces that at a Board of Directors meeting held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, it resolved to commence a new business, the "Nursing Home Business" (hereinafter "this Business"), as follows.

1. Strategic Significance of Business Entry

The Company has, until now, offered two business segments: the "Sales Bank Business," which encompasses integrated marketing services that provide one-stop support for the systems necessary for customer business execution, and solution services that offer proprietary SX/GX/DX solutions tailored to challenges in various industries; and the "Life Value Business," which includes operating ICT/programming schools for children and seniors, and providing online education-related applications. Amidst this situation, the Company decided to launch a new "Nursing Home Business" with the aim of further expanding the Life Value Business, among other objectives.

The Company's "Nursing Home Business" involves the Company operating residential paid nursing homes, where nurses are stationed 24 hours a day to provide medical care and living support to elderly individuals with high medical dependency. In Japan, where the number of late-stage elderly is increasing due to the advancement of a declining birthrate and aging population, the demand for elderly care facilities, including nursing homes, is rising. On the other hand, we recognize that the number of medical and nursing care facilities is insufficient to meet this demand, largely due to a long-term decline in the working-age population (15-64 years old) leading to a shortage of medical personnel. Against this backdrop of high social demand, we decided to commence the "Nursing Home Business" with the aim of operating facilities where elderly individuals requiring nursing or care, or those with disabilities, can live safely and securely 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, thereby reducing the burden on residents and their families who provide care.

In this Business, we will establish a system with nurses stationed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to provide medical and nursing care services to residents. We plan to offer visiting nursing care services in collaboration with affiliated medical institutions and visiting nursing stations within the paid nursing homes. While enhancing services that support daily life, such as assistance with meals, bathing, and excretion, and rehabilitation for residents, we will also station specialized medical staff to provide medical care based on visiting nursing instruction letters and special visiting nursing instruction letters from the attending physician. Regarding the profitability of this Business, in addition to occupancy fees and management fees, it is a business model that generates insurance premiums such as long-term care insurance and medical insurance, which arise from the characteristics of nursing homes providing medical services, unlike ordinary care facilities.

The first facility planned to open in this Business is "Heartful Cast Kuwana" in Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture, which plans to utilize unused hospital wards of a general hospital with inpatient facilities and regenerate them as a nursing home. In recent years, due to population dynamics in medical institutions nationwide, Kuwana City has a population of approximately 132,000 people. In the nursing and care worker fields, which are generally considered difficult to recruit for, the Company has accumulated unique know-how regarding stable human resource acquisition, having received over 400 applications to date. This is an application of the Company's marketing and customer acquisition know-how to the nursing care talent recruitment domain and is considered a significant competitive advantage in facility operation.

Furthermore, this recruitment know-how has begun to be offered as a human resource recruitment support scheme for all medical corporations and nursing care providers, and we will promote its nationwide expansion to medical institutions and nursing care facilities in the future.

In addition to these efforts, the Company aims to acquire ISO9001 international certification for its home nursing business. Cases of acquisition are limited in the nursing and care industry, and by promoting the standardization and continuous improvement of service quality, we aim to build a high-quality and reliable care provision system in the region.

Going forward, in collaboration with Applics Inc., which became part of our group on April 1, 2026, we will utilize operational and user data accumulated through this Business from medical and nursing care sites. By combining Applics' technical capabilities for one-stop development from embedded & edge to cloud, with assets in the payment and platform domains, we will promote the development of new DX solutions in the medical and nursing care fields. We will progressively conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) experiments at actual medical and nursing care sites to enhance services from a現場-driven perspective. Furthermore, by expanding solutions that include providing the service models and data platforms built through these initiatives to nursing and medical facilities outside our group, we aim to create stock-type revenue opportunities.
