The Brother Group positions industrial domains, such as industrial machinery and industrial printing equipment, as focus areas in its group vision "At your side 2030," which looks ahead to 2030. This new warehouse was constructed due to the increasing demand for storage of related products and parts accompanying the expansion of business in these domains, the aging of multiple factory buildings currently used as warehouses within the premises, and the anticipated risk of tsunami damage in the low-lying port area. The Minato No. 2 Warehouse was built on the same factory premises as the Minato No. 1 Warehouse, which was completed in 2022.

At Minato No. 2 Warehouse, BCP (Business Continuity Plan) measures have been implemented by setting the floor level 80cm higher than the anticipated tsunami height. Additionally, solar panels are planned to be installed on the rooftop to promote the use of renewable energy and contribute to CO₂ emission reduction. Furthermore, the headquarters functions of Brother Logitec will be relocated, aiming to promote the efficiency of the entire group's warehousing and logistics operations in Japan.

Brother states, "Going forward, we will strive to build a stable logistics system to expand our business while preparing for disaster risks and endeavoring to reduce environmental impact."
